Bach Brewing have been on the hops again... reminiscing a glorious safari trip pre-Bach Brewing days. Their latest brew is loaded with a Rhino's weight of Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic and Citra hops, and juicy malts originating from the fertile plains around Feilding. 8.2% ABV.

Officially NZ's #1 IPA for 2022 as voted by the NZ Brewers Guild. This crushing double IPA, named for the legendary hop that predominates it, is one of New Zealand craft brewing's original palate benders, famous for squeezing every last drop of flavour and aroma from its American namesake. Strong notes of citrus shouldn't surprise anyone who reads the label.

A rich, luscious and full stout, tempered with a home-baked raspberry crumble character and a dark chocolatey background.

Don't play with your beer, they said. Oops. Emerson's love playing with Bird Dog. Having brewed a Gin Dog, a chilly dog and even a Little Bird they are now very excited to bring you Dirty Bird. Dirty in the best possible hazy way. All the flavours you would expect from the original, just a little sweeter, and a tad more citrus and tropical, with a slightly piney finish. Best served in a clean glass.

The 411 on Ruthless is Riwaka in Extremis. A dose of grapefruit and lime they'd conservatively describe as hella with dank overtones. The look is pure gold with a tight'n'white head. Unafraid of it's own bitterness. No diggity. Or certainly very little.

An ongoing series of occasional one off releases inspired by the nice ideas captured in Parrotdog's Lyall Bay Brewery. Limited Release 39 is a Double IPA brewed with a crisp, lean, pale malt base and loaded to the seams with intense US and NZ hop varieties - providing punchy citrus, tropical, white grape and blueberry characters, along with a firm bitterness.

Kicks off with bright citrus and a hint of tropical attitude with cranking soft orange zest and electric, punchy aromatics. Clean, dry, and just bitter enough to flirt with trouble.

Grapefruit IPA is back by popular demand. A very large aromatic citrus and hop aroma, very lean on the malt with layers of hoppy tanginess. The addition of local seasonal fruit dials up the grapefruit aroma and combines for a powerful citrusy bitterness. Taste buds beware! 6.8% ABV. Limited and sure to sell out.

Ahhhhhhhhh the tropics... Palm trees, hammocks, beach walks with just a touch of heat rash. This IPA is the free tropical breakfast at the resort, pawpaw, mango, watermelon and some crusty coconut. Best enjoyed in the shade, watch for falling coconuts. 6.5% ABV

Smooth as silk, juicy and bursting with tropical refreshment from iconic hops including Mosaic, Citra, Zythos and Azacca, all nestled on their signature Gladfield malt. As the King of the Jungle would attest, imitation is sometimes the sincerest form of flattery. This copycat, based on the original West Coast IPA, delivers upfront citrus and tropical fruits with a great dankness and bitterness throughout because sometimes it is just better to copy a classic.
