Absinthe is an aromatic, dry and highly alcoholic herbal spirit. It is a bitter liqueur and is best consumed after diluting with water and sugar. It contains anis (Liquorice flavour) and the notorious wormwood plant (Artemisia) as well as optional various other aromatic components, such as peppermint, cloves, cinnamon, (the juice of spinach, nettles and parsley).

This 12YO Aberlour has been matured in two cask types, traditional oak and Sherry oak casks. Especially selected every year, they are filled with whisky and quietly aged for a minimum of twelve years; then the casks are married together. Traditional oak casks encourage the subtle character of Aberlour to develop, whilst Sherry oak casks add hints of ruby gold colour and a deep and rich flavour to the whisky. Del Maguey Vida Clásico is a hand-crafted alongside the tropical riverbed in the village of San Luis Del Rio where the Red Ant River flows.
