The grapes for this wine were harvested from the limestone-rich Havelock North hills. It was barrel fermented, and has aromas of grilled peach, vanilla and hazelnut. The palate offers juicy acidity, beautiful texture and weight, with a creamy mouthfeel and a delicious lingering finish.

He would visit the winery and select the finest 'pipes' (500 Litre barrels) of Grand Tawny.
