The Ned Crunchy Red is an early release Pinot Noir - designed to be served slightly chilled. A limited release wine from the world-renowned range of The Ned wines, made in Marlborough by Marisco Family Vineyards. This wine exhibits a subtle spiciness that accentuates a bright bouquet of crunchy red fruits, cranberries and red apple. Juicy acidity lines the palate boasting rich concentrated fruit, silky tannins and a serious structure.

Right in the heart of the magical Waihopai Valley, a million miles from anywhere, lies The Ned, one of Marlborough's most famous peaks. The Ned Pinot Noir - Delicious aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry liquorice and dried oregano with a fragrant all spice lift. The fleshy, sweet-fruited palate boasts opulent tannins, notes of smoky French oak and a long juicy finish.

Exhibits typical regional characters of red berries and cherries mixed with spicy and earthy notes. The texture of the wine is soft with supple tannins and carries flavours of red fruits and spice through the palate to a soft, persistent finish.

The blackberry, spice and liquorice nuances combine to produce a fruit dominant but complex wine. A small inclusion of the white variety Viognier gives the wine beautiful perfume and allows the wine more accessibility while young. This wine is of the lighter style.

The wine has a dense purple colour. It has aromas of sweet berry fruits that are entwined with dark chocolate. On the palate it has intense flavours of blackcurrant and plum with soft, smooth tannins with subtle oak characteristics.
