Leefield Station is a range of wines that celebrate the history of the iconic sheep and beef station located in the heart of the Waihopai Valley. Purchased in 2013 by Marisco Vineyards, the property inspired us to go back to the beginning with our winemaking approach.

Leefield Station Stockman Syrah - from the Expressions of Leefield Station range - designed to capture small parcels of fruit grown on these special sites showcasing the unique terrorir of the Waihopai Valley - Leefield Station, The Best of Marlborough. A classic example of cool climate Syrah showcasing dark berry fruit and fresh pepper aromas with complex notes of dried herbs, savoury black olive and leather. The palate is rich and layered with supple tannins that carry flavours through to a persistent finish.

Centuries of history and territory, encapsulated in and narrated by a wine that is famous the world over. You read Chianti, and you think of the hills, villages, parish churches and farmhouses where time has stood still since the peak era of beauty and taste, keeping them intact and authentic. This Chianti has a deep ruby colour, with reasonable depth and 'legs' indicating good structure. Perfumes of cherries and fresh red fruit, mingle with spicy, peppery notes. Lively and fresh in the mouth, with soft, rounded tannins. Good intensity, attractive structure and fine, long length.

Doted with lovely pale pink colour, Les Jamelles Clair de Rose is perfectly balanced, fresh, lively and round, with floral and fruity aromas of raspberry and grenadine. Enjoy well chilled (8°C) as an aperitif, with salads, grilled meats, pizza, summer vegetables, or with Asian cuisine. Catherine Delaunay likes to serve it with prawn skewers marinated in ginger and coconut milk. Or try it with a simple slice of melon and prosciutto.

A blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah & Cinsault. With a very beautiful pale pink colour, Reflets Secrets Rosé reveals an expressive and complex nose of delicate floral notes of rose, fresh red fruits, raspberry and cherry, mixed with citrus notes (grapefruit, orange zest) and a touch of pepper and verbena.

Les Jamelles Syrah boasts deep colour and a syrupy consistency. Its wild fruit (raspberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant) and floral (violet) aromas harmonize with flavours of spices, vanilla and cinnamon, along with a touch of mint. This wine is very rich and full on the palate, with a touch of minerality as well as a long, silky finish that is of rare complexity and boasts a lovely lasting hint of liquorice.
